Job Description
HumanHire is searching for a Staff Accountant to join a well-established manufacturer in the Melville area! This opportunity offers remote/hybrid capabilities & offers clear growth guidelines within their Accounting Team.
We offer:
- Monday-Friday; 8am-5pm work schedule (hybrid)
- Pay: $80,000 - $90,000/year (plus health, dental, vision, 401k, & more!)
Responsibilities:
- Make sure the company's inventory records are accurate and protect all inventory assets
- Supporting the business units with their inventory management, ensuring proper reporting of inventory and manufacturing variances by business unit globally, reviewing excess and obsolete inventory, analyzing inventory-related variances, and analyzing on-hand inventory levels by plant and business unit
- Aid in the preparation of all manufacturing budgets, which are planned, coordinated, developed, reviewed, and analyzed in accordance with the approved sales projection; this requires collaboration with representatives of corporate people as well as all manufacturing facilities worldwide
- Assist in the conception, planning, assessment, and analysis of all labor, resource, and overhead studies and rates to ensure they result in the complete absorption of the manufacturing budget amounts that have been approved
- Develop, evaluate, and assess material costs and material burden rates / amounts in accordance with the aims for the annual profit plan and the dates for its presentation
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting
- Experience in manufacturing for at least three years is preferred.
- Experience in working with Oracle ERP & Hyperion preferred
- Knowledge of manufacturing budget and overhead rate
