Job Description
We're working with one of the leading freight-forwarding companies on Long Island to add an Accounts Receivable Clerk to their office in Valley Stream! This company has been around for over 70 years & works with name-brand clients such as Kerrygold USA, LifeWorks, Blix, & Gowan!
We offer:
- $50,000-$55,000 per year (plus full medical, health, dental benefits, 401K match, 2 weeks vacation, & paid holidays!)
- Monday-Friday, 9AM-5PM

What you'll be doing:
- Responsible for researching, analyzing, and resolving of customer deductions and disputes
- Professional and timely responses to all inquiries via phone, e-mail, or in person
- Analyze payment patterns and perform account reconciliations as needed
- Timely submission of account adjustments, and credit memos
- Verify discrepancies by and resolve clients’ billing issues
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of prior AR experience within logistics preferred
- Associates degree in Accounting strongly preferred
- Strong Microsoft Office Skills (Excel, Outlook)
- Prior experience with Cargowise preferred but not required
