HumanHire is partnered with a mid-size litigation firm to find a Director of eDiscovery for their NYC office! The firm has been in business for more than 30 years and has an international presence. The firm primarily focuses on partnering with Fortune 500 Corporations on cases that will often be at the forefront of national media!

We are seeking candidates with 8+ years of eDiscovery experience to join our growing team!

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and guidelines for eDiscovery processes that comply with legal requirements and industry best practices.
  • Provide guidance and advice to attorneys and staff regarding eDiscovery matters, including preservation, collection, processing, review, and production of ESI.
  • Manage eDiscovery projects, including scoping, staffing, budgeting, and tracking progress to ensure successful completion on time and within budget.
  • Oversee the work of eDiscovery professionals, including project managers, forensic analysts, review attorneys, and other specialists, to ensure high-quality work product and excellent client service.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, clients, and outside vendors to develop and implement eDiscovery strategies that align with case objectives and minimize risk.
  • Stay current with industry trends and developments related to eDiscovery, and advise the firm on new tools, technologies, and methodologies that could improve our processes and outcomes.
  • Manage relationships with eDiscovery vendors, including negotiating contracts, evaluating performance, and ensuring cost-effective use of outside resources.

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, information management, or legal studies. Advanced degree or certification in eDiscovery or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in eDiscovery, including experience managing complex eDiscovery projects and teams.
  • Strong understanding of legal discovery rules and procedures, including the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure and the Sedona Principles.
  • Demonstrated experience with eDiscovery tools and platforms, such as Relativity.
